Author: George Curtis interviews guide Mike Foss. Born and raised in Washburn, Wisconsin, Mike Foss started whitetail deer hunting at age 12. His primary instructor was his father, an avid whitetail deer hunter and fisherman who taught him the ethics of hunting. As a bear and whitetail deer guide, Mike has harvested bear and many deer, including several record book whitetail deer bucks. In the off-season, he spends time with his family and is constantly scouting for new bear hunting and whitetail deer hunting areas to guide.
